The sauce is great and the crust tasty. Garden Deli & Pizzeria is a year-round favorite with Manteo locals. Located on Hwy 64 near the Christmas Shop, the eatery has indoor and outdoor places to enjoy a slice or a whole pizza pie. While the interior is small, the business does booming takeout, so there always seems to be a table opening up for your dining experience and a wait is almost non-existent. Ambiance? The scent alone creates all the ambiance you need in the sunny, casual and bold-colored atmosphere.
The menu includes specialty pizzas such as the delectable Garden White with four cheeses, garlic white sauce, broccoli and tomato. Seven other pies, including the Hawaiian and Veggie, share menu space with a wide variety of sandwiches, wraps, subs, paninis, cheese steaks, burgers and salads and appetizers. Treat your self to the Gaeta panini featuring delicious tuna salad, onion, black olives and provolone cheese. Appetizers include the usual French fries, Buffalo wings, potato salad, cheese garlic bread and more.
Enjoy healthy salads including grilled chicken on a large garden salad and an Italian antipasto salad. Desserts include cheesecakes, cannolis, cookies, chocolate cake and brownies.
Quench your thirst with sodas including Mexican Coke and Barq’s root beer as well as assorted Vitamin waters.
Garden Deli and Pizzeria caters bag lunches, creates party platters with wings and salads and takes orders for group lunches including meat and cheese trays and sub platters as well as the Pasta Duo Business Lunch, which features homemade chicken Alfredo and cheesy baked ziti. Free pizza delivery is offered after 5 p.m.
