The Ocracoke Village landscape takes on an entirely new glow when there’s a full moon out, and visitors can enjoy a front-row view to the show with this special kayaking adventure that only takes place a couple times a month. The Full Moon Kayak Tour is a great opportunity to explore the wild surroundings of the region while enjoying a relaxed tour where the full moon will illuminate just how beautiful Ocracoke can be after hours.
The Full Moon Kayak Tour is hosted by the Ride the Wind Surf Shop, and the tour departs from the edge of Silver Lake Harbor in the heart of Ocracoke village. After launching, visitors will enjoy a lazy paddle and incredible views of the glittering harbor, as well as a variety of area wildlife that continues to play after then sun sets. Open to paddlers of all skill levels and abilities, this tour is a great opportunity to discover Ocracoke’s wild side from an entirely new and unique perspective. Reservations can made online in advance, and interested tour-goers will want to reserve as early as possible, as this unique tour that captures the beauty of Ocracoke after dark - (and from a waterfront perspective) - is sure to fill up fast.
