Fat Crabs Rib Co. 11-9 daily
Fat Crabs serves lunch and dinner daily in season. This is a beachy, casual venue where you don’t need to make reservations. The primary focus is on seafood, but they also serve up slow-cooked NC barbeque, smoked beef brisket, NC pulled pork, smoked chicken and BBQ ribs. Start out with a serving of homemade blue crab chowder. Enjoy their fabulous steamer pots where you can mix and match snow crab legs, shrimp, scallops, oysters, clams, mussels, bratwurst, lobster tail and king crablegs. Steamer pots come with potatoes, corn on the cob, onions, spices and butter. Try out their blue crabcakes. Order up a fried seafood basket, seafood platter or a number of sandwiches including a veggie burger, oyster po’boy, and fish of the day or soft shell crab. Delicious sides include red skin tater salad, collards, coleslaw, corn bread, sweet tater and regular fries, corn on the cob, baked beans, hushpuppies and chips. The collards and beans also are slow-cooked! Fat Crabs serves beer and wine and offers a dessert menu, which includes apple, key lime and chocolate éclair pies, chocolate cake and ice cream. Check out their shop where you can pick up a T-shirt, hoodie, apron or OBX stickers.
