Enjoy an evening of culture or a month-long peek into the talented works of a local artist with this special exhibit by artist Ed Obermeyer at the Dare County Arts Council headquarters in downtown Manteo.

The Ed Obermeyer Exhibit kicks off with an opening night reception from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. which features hors d'oeuvres and an opportunity to be one of the first art fans to view this array of work. Ed’s acrylic paintings pay homage to his deep love of the ocean and all things related to the coastline, and after surfing and sailing all around the world, he has transformed his memories and impressions into eye-catching and absolutely stunning works of art. The variety of pieces will be displayed at the Dare County Arts Council Center from August 4th until the end of the month, and the public is welcome to stop by the impressive brick building at any time during operating hours to take a look at the month-long display. Representing a beautiful collection where the ocean waters and coastal landscapes steal the scene, this exhibit is a perfect opportunity for visitors and locals alike to discover a unique talent that is part of the vibrant arts community on the Outer Banks.
