It’s a place that’s “free of judgment and stress,” where kids of all ages can feel comfortable expressing their talent or even finding it for the first time.“ Parents can either stay and participate (but not advise) or feel free to drop off the kids, ages five and up, and go for a break.
Taught are scheduled, fun classes in sculpture, tie-dye, acrylics on canvas, watercolor, charcoal, pastel and more. The owner and other local artists guide students through sessions that last about an hour and a half and are usually long enough to complete a project all will feel proud to display. Class time can also be extended, if needed, for an additional fee.
Duck Duck also offers, upon request, Girls Nights and Date Nights with “Canvas and Cocktails.” Group events can be scheduled with 24-48 notice upon availability. And, regular yoga classes, taught by certified instructors, are available some mornings and evenings.
These classes and special nights do fill up quickly, so be sure to reserve a space by calling or coming by the shop. Duck Duck Art is open only during the late spring and summer months, when the class schedule is posted weekly on facebook.
