Beach Productions is a photography and videography company specializing in wedding and beach portraits - or as owner Julie Dreelin calls it, the “art of documentary portraiture.”
Julie says her friends know her as a “lover of life” and a nonconformist. A world traveler and mountain dweller, who left Colorado for the OBX after falling in love with a surfer, Julie shares the story of her road, her life and her dreams through photography.
Now as a “salty lady” of The Outer Banks, she “brings people and moments to life” with a photographic style that sometimes involves startling her subjects with a flash, then laughing and smiling “until their protests turn to giggles.”
As a photo and video journalist, Julie says her intent is to provide her clients with a “pictorial narrative” that captures the “spirit of the day,” which she does with a flair for finding interesting angles and candid shots. For weddings she likes to tell the story of your special day from beginning to end, starting at the bride’s home for the preparation shots and ending with the departure from the reception, adding a few moments alone with the bride and groom in between.
You can find pricing for Beach Productions’ Wedding and Portrait Packages online, and they’ll also be glad to provide quotes on custom assignments. The company can be reached by phone, email or online form.
