Barrier Island Fitness Center

Barrier Island Fitness Center serves Barrier Island’s timeshare guests and also offers memberships to locals and other visitors to the OBX seven days a week.

Located in a peaceful setting - a beautifully designed and wooded section of Kitty Hawk - the Center provides everything you need to get and stay in shape.

Memberships include use of all the gym equipment - free weights, treadmills, recumbent cycles, steppers, circuit training machines and more - along with the hot tub, indoor pool, steam rooms, saunas, and locker room. Also available, Monday through Friday, are a variety of fitness classes. Current classes include yoga & pilates, shazoom dance, step & light weights, deep water and adult aquafit. For an additional charge, members can also use the tanning beds and have access to personal training and massage therapy.

Membership lengths are designed to cater to locals, couples, seniors and short-term visitors as well.

You’ll find Barrier Island Fitness Center behind Walmart, about a mile south of the Wright Brothers Memorial Bridge. Hours may vary off season and for certain facilities. Call for more information on memberships, rates and hours of operation.
