Kick off the summer season on the Outer Banks while making wonderful memories that will last well after your vacation is over by participating in the Annual Family Fishing Tournament. Celebrating its 9th year in 2019, this fun and family-oriented event is a great way to foster, grow, and share a love of fishing along the North Carolina coastline.

The tournament takes place at the Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head, which is a popular fishing destination for folks all across the central Outer Banks. Participants will have a prime opportunity to catch more than a dozen different species during this early June tournament, which includes bluefish, speckled trout, and flounder. Anglers who are able to reel in the longest fish in each of these categories will be rewarded with a trophy as well as enticing additional prizes. Open to anglers of all ages, and a perfect outing for younger fishermen, this day of fishing off the locally famous pier is sure to be a highlight of any Outer Banks vacation. Interested anglers and their crews can sign up for the tournament online, or at the pier on the morning of the event, and can expect plenty of fun and fishing throughout the day.
