Known as one of the most highly anticipated surf contests on the Outer Banks as well as the East Coast, the WRV Outer Banks Pro Surf Contest is a thrill for participants and spectators alike, thanks to a stellar location in the town of Nags Head, and a world of talented riders competing for the title of OBX champ.

The WRV Outer Banks Pro Surf Contest tournament found its local home in 2009, when the recently completed Jennette's Pier provided the perfect launching spot for exceptional surf and plenty of elbow room. Held on the outskirts of the iconic pier, the venue offers plenty of parking for participants and spectators alike, and is centrally located and fairly easy to reach for folks staying from Corolla all the way to Hatteras Island. Folks who want to come by and watch the action can easily head to the beach with a towel or chair in hand, and watch as local competitors as well as pros from all over the world take advantage of the solid early fall swells. With big prizes and bragging rights on the line, the WRV Outer Banks Pro Surf Contest is a prime opportunity to watch the Outer Banks' best surfers in action.
