• Thursday, July 4th

The Town of Manteo will host an incredible display of fireworks over the water on 4th of July that will make any Independence Day celebration truly memorable. Launched over the Roanoke Sound and Shallowbag Bay, visitors can find a spot along the downtown docks or a seat at the famed Roanoke Island Festival Park to catch an incredible show with a stunning backdrop.

The annual fireworks display is provided by the Town of Manteo, and the event is free and open to the public. Parking is available throughout the town on a first-come, first-serve basis, and handicapped spaces are available as well - (until filled, and proper permit is required.) The public is welcome to bring chairs, blankets, and tarps to find a seat at Roanoke Island Festival Park, and in the hours leading up to the display, are invited to explore the heart of Manteo, which will be decked out for the festivities. Music will be provided during the afternoon by famed local bands including The Crowd and Echoes of Heritage, and the 208th Army Band will play patriotic songs in the evening at the outdoor pavilion at Roanoke Island Festival Park. The rain date is July 5th, and events that correspond with the 4th of July festivities are subject to change.
