You name it, and you can have the kind of trip you want on board The Hook Up Charter. Variety is the watchword with Captain Rudy Gray who is prepared to take you fishing and on a variety of other trips. Gray is a native Hatteras Islander who has been fishing all his life.
Full- and half-day charters have you in search of speckled and gray trout, red and black drum, flounder, Spanish mackerel, bluefish, cobia and striped bass. You will be exploring the backwaters, ocean and inlet with the captain who supplies all tackle and coolers. You may take along your own tackle, but you will want to leave large coolers in the car so you have plenty of elbow room. Make sure to take food and drink, rain gear, sunscreen, hats and sunglasses as well as a camera to catch the beauty and your catch, of course!
Fishing trips are booked through Hatteras Harbor Marina. But if you are interested in clamming, crabbing and dolphin watching, call the captain at 252-987-2495, boat – 252-475-4576.
