Teeter’s Campground in the heart of Ocracoke Village has been family owned and operated since 1976. It was founded by Frank D. Teeter Sr., who wanted to offer fishermen and visitors a family environment away from home.
Located next to the village’s historic British Cemetery on land donated by Teeter, the campground offers a quiet and peaceful space with lots of live oak shade trees and an atmosphere that reflects the relaxing state of mind for which the island is well known. In keeping with that aim, quiet hours are maintained between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.
The campground is open to RVs, Campers and tents, with sites priced according to the number of campers and added hookups, with water, sewer and electric available. Recycle containers are provided, along with small bathrooms and showers. Pets are allowed with standard restrictions.
You’ll find British Cemetery Road about 14 miles down Highway 12 from the Hatteras Ferry, between Harborside Motel and the Anchorage Inn. The campground conveniently located within walking or biking distance of all the village shops and main attractions.
A form is available online for reservations, which are highly recommended. Monthly rates are not available at this campground.
