Captain Rick Scarborough has you covered when it comes to light tackle fishing. Within 15 minutes you will be wetting a line in the backwaters and Pamlico Sound for a wide variety of species. His 22-foot custom, center console Lookout will have you hot and heavy on the fish including speckled trout, red drum, flounder gray trout, bluefish, cobia and false albacore. Big stripers show up in large numbers in the fall. The trip will also put you up close to dolphin. Most of the fish caught are edible and there are fish cleaning services at the dock. Make sure you bring a cooler for your catch as well as hat, sunglasses, food/drinks, camera and sensible sport shoes. Captain Rick supplies everything you need to fish. He is a Coast Guard-licensed captain with boatloads of experience fishing local waters. He has spent over 30 years casting a line and looks forward to sharing his expertise with you. The charter departs from Teach’s Lair Marina in Hatteras Village, which is open year round. Call for prices and to make a reservation. Captain Rick’s casting charters are a nice alternative to offshore fishing.
