Celebrating its fourth year in 2025, Shuck Hatteras is Hatteras Island’s newest food-centric festival, and this unique wintertime event is a fun community celebration that is brimming with music, entertainment, and plenty of oysters to go around.
The Shuck Hatteras Oyster Festival takes place in Rodanthe, which makes it easy to reach for folks staying throughout Hatteras Island as well as the northern Outer Banks. Held in the middle of December, attendees can expect plenty of fresh and local oysters with all the fixings, all for an all-you-can-eat ticket price. The day-long celebration also features plenty of games and activities for the kids, live music from local and visiting bands, special fundraisers and raffles for area organizations like the Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station, and so much more. Interested attendees are advised to book their tickets well in advance to secure a spot, and tickets are available at multiple locations throughout Hatteras Island.
