Shark Shack

Shark Shack isn’t too fancy and isn’t too big, which is exactly why it’s a favorite local spot for ice cold drinks and easy-going outdoor dining.

Located just a few blocks away from the oceanfront in the heart of Atlantic Beach, Shark Shack lives up to its name with a just a handful of shaded picnic tables and a drift-wood style bar that flanks the small main building where orders can be placed. It’s causal, but it’s also wonderfully beachy, with palm trees providing a little extra shade, bright umbrellas, lights and vibrant tropical-colored paint, and seashells and fish nets adoring the bar.

The fare mirrors this ultra-casual setting, with a selection of classic beach eats like fried shrimp baskets and tacos, fresh fish sandwiches, seasonal specials, and fresh fish sandwiches. There are a number of southern side dishes to accompany a meal as well, which includes cole slaw, hushpuppies, French fries, and seasonal potato and / or pasta salad. Happy Hour and evening fans are always welcome, and can saddle up to the outdoor bar to enjoy a cold PBR, Red Stripe, or other beachy beer. Relaxed in attitude in atmosphere, Shark Shack is a perfect hang-out for the post-beach sandals and lotion crowd.
