Secret Garden Gallery carries the work of superb American crafts folk and artists including handcrafted jewelry and paintings and collages by owners Barbara Hardy and Bob Ray. The emphasis is on local work at the gallery that occasionally has openings for artists showing in their Back Road venue.
Hardy is an excellent non-objective painter who has a fine color sense and great eye for arresting compositions. The multi-talented artist also creates handcrafted jewelry. Ray fascinates the viewer with his collage art and drawings that have an intellectual edge.
Enjoy gold and silver jewelry, handpainted furniture, watercolors by Ed Starnes plus photographs, pottery, oil paintings and sculpture. Shows here can be anything from watercolor paintings of local scenes to more avante garde art. It is a great place on which to keep an eye for fascinating and technically proficient creations.
