Offshore fishing is awesome when it involves fishing the bluewater of the Gulf Stream. The Outer Banks is known for its year-round world class fishing for a variety of reasons. The warm water draws billfish and other species. The nearness to the Continental Shelf’s edge is another plus. Anywhere you have an edge, you have fish. And the currents that cross over and under one another about 37 miles off the coast create an intricate carving on the bottom, which causes an upwelling and abundance of baitfish. Where there is baitfish, there are bigger fish to gobble them up. The folks on the Sandra D know where to go to get to species such as blue and white marlin, mahi-mahi, tuna, wahoo and other species. Join them on their 52-foot Buddy Davis charter boat and fish offshore with them, year round. Captain Keith Baer is a Coast Guard-certified captain who has been fishing the East Coast and Bahama waters for the past 25 years.
Call for a reservation to fish out of Pirate’s Cove Yacht Club on the Sandra D. Everything is supplied except your food and drink. Make sure you wear comfortable clothes and sport shoes and take along sunscreen! The captain invites the expert as well as the beginner to join him!
