Sakura Japanese Restaurant

For a taste of fresh Japanese cuisine that’s varied and budget-friendly, Sakura Japanese Restaurant is a solid and centrally located destination. Found in between the downtown area and the UNCW campus, this small eatery will allow hungry patrons to feast on a huge range of traditional Japanese fare.

The interior is small and super-casual, with just enough tables to cater to a handful of dine-in patrons. Take-out and delivery are the most popular means of dining at Sakura, allowing visitors to enjoy a wealth of fare in the comfort of home. The menu can be almost overwhelming to Japanese newcomers, with a hearty section of appetizers, entrees, healthy meals, spicy meals, steak and seafood, bowls, Yakisoda (or noodle meals), and “Montreal Style” dishes, which boasts Montréal spice with zucchini and onions. New patrons will want to start with a classic soup or salad, like the Miso soup or the seaweed salad, and then move on to a traditional entrée to get the flavor of Japanese cuisine, like the Takisoba with bell pepper, carrots, onion, broccoli zucchini and soda sauce, or the lightly fried Tempura with fried rice, fried sweet potato, and sweetened carrot. With a big selection of proteins, and plenty of preparation options, Sakura Japanese Restaurant will let patrons enjoy traditional Japanese cuisine their way with every visit.
