Ladies can hit the sand in style during this fun-filled beach day that’s all about having a blast in the sun and experiencing the cool ocean weaves. Open for girls and women of all ages, Roxy Beach Day combines a wealth of activities at the beach with some cool ways to have a great time on and off the sand.
The event kicks off at the Rodanthe Beach access where women and girls can enjoy some surfing and bodyboarding on the local waves, lessons in kiteboarding basics with trainer kite flying, and even some beach yoga on the sand. There’s also some beach games and other activities planned at this site that’s just 2 miles north of the REAL Watersports center in Rodanthe. After the morning of after fun, head back to town to enjoy live music, lunch and drinks at Watermen’s Bar and Grill, a free Roxy T-shirt with $50 or more Roxy purchase, cornhole games, braids and beads, and much more. Featuring both active fun in the sun as well as a nice array of ways to unwind after a busy morning in the surf, this event that’s designed just for the ladies will foster a lifelong love of the ocean and Hatteras Island.
