Discover a far-reaching range of talented local artists and craftsmen without ever leaving the quiet and charming northern villages of Hatteras Island with this fun late summer event that will entice any art fan to get out and explore. The Island Art Show in Rodanthe features a collection of local exhibitors, as well as plenty of additional reasons to stop by and see what the local art scene is all about.

More than 25 local Outer Banks artists and craftsmen will be present at the event to show and sell their work, and the sheer range of mediums will entice shoppers of all inclinations and interests. Fine art and prints, woodworks, unique surf art, sea glass jewelry, handmade soaps and toiletries, photography and more will all be found along the grounds of the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Center, which is located just south of the Liberty Gas Station. Admission to the event is free, and raffle tickets will be available for a chance to win a basket of goodies provided by local vendors. Live music will also be provided at the show, and unique activities such as live art demos have been known to pop up as well. All in all, the event is a great way to discover the rich artistic culture of the Outer Banks.
