It may have a simple name, but Outer Banks Taco Bar adds up to so much more. The small, friendly restaurant makes big fans of everyone who walks through the doors.
Choose from grilled veggies, steak, chicken, seared fish and shrimp for taco, enchilada, burrito and quesadilla fillings. The menu also features many appetizers, including wings and nachos.
The Caribbean and Central American influence lends itself to a menu of empanadas, tostones (fried plantains), yucca fries and traditional rice dishes, such as Arroz con Pollo (stir-fried rice with chicken and vegetables).
The house made tortillas are fresh daily. All of the food is made to order and can be customized to your liking. The self-service salsa bar features about a dozen fresh cut and mixes salsas, toppings and sauces.
The menu also offers cuban, steak and chicken pressed sandwiches, as well as a homemade black bean burger.
A selection of unique desserts is offered on the daily specials board.
