Through arts, music, and miles of fun, the Outer Banks celebrates visiting and local veterans alike through this special event that has a wealth of ways to stay entertained while discovering the heart of the islands’ cultural scene. OBX Veterans Week is an annual event which honors veterans and their families through live concerts, cool activities and arts in downtown Manteo, and so much more.

The launch for OBX Veterans Week coincides with downtown Manteo’s First Friday event, and visitors will want to head to the downtown area to enjoy a variety of food, drink, shopping, and live music by local bands. The fun continues with a special live concert that is free to veterans and their families at Pamlico Jack’s restaurant with Eclectic Acoustic Bluegrass, and a host of ceremonies, events, and activities for visitors of all ages is also being planned by local organizations, as well as area businesses for a full week of fun. Overlapping with Veterans Day, and presenting a wonderful opportunity to thank the men and women who have served our country, OBX Veterans Week is just a small way that folks on the Outer Banks can show their appreciation of the bravery of these visiting and local heroes.
