Whether you are a newcomer or a SUP champ, the OBX Paddle Palooza has a little something for everyone in the family, with a celebration of the fun, healthy, and family-oriented activity that has taken the Outer Banks by storm – stand-up paddle boarding. Held on the shores of Avon on Hatteras Island, this event features a ton of activities and events for paddlers of all ages and skill levels, and is a great way to explore the gorgeous shorelines of the Outer Banks while enjoying a little exercise, and while having a ball.

There are multiple activities throughout the OBX Paddle Palooza Festival, which includes demos and opportunities for new paddlers to try out this infectious sport. In addition, there will be a number of lightly competitive races that will feature multiple divisions to ensure that the playing field stays fairly even, and that everyone can join in the fun. The Paddle Palooza cumulates with a family-friendly barbecue, so that everyone can feast and toast a spectacular time on the water. Held in late May when wind and water conditions are arguably at their best, the OBX Paddle Palooza is a great family-friendly event that paddlers of all varieties will adore.
