Put your fishing skills to the test at this annual tournament that targets one of the inshore area’s tastiest and trickiest species. The OBAC Annual Catfish Tournament is a fun and full day of fishing that allows anglers to drop a line for these coveted catches, and which includes plenty of opportunities to meet with fellow fishermen, enjoy the local landscape, and have a world of fun.

Held annually in the springtime when the fishing season throughout the Outer Banks starts to really heat up, the OBAC Annual Catfish Tournament is sponsored and hosted by the Outer Banks Anglers Club, which is one of the largest organizations for fishermen along the North Carolina coast. Folks can spend a full day of fishing from around 6:30 a.m. until 3 in the afternoon, when weigh-in takes place at Kitty landing. Winners will be treated to a host of prizes, and a big Burger 'n Dog BBQ will be held after the weigh-in to toast and announce the winners, and for participants to have a little fun. RSVP is needed for folks who want to join in the after-party BBQ, and the event is open to anglers of all varieties who want to try their hand and fishing skills in the heart of the Outer Banks.
