Discover the works of a collection of local artists, photographers, and journalists who have captured all aspects of life on the Outer Banks at this special month-long exhibit that pays tribute to one of the Outer banks’ leading free monthly publications. Milepost Exhibit is a unique art exhibit that showcases the most notable contributions from 35 different issues of the magazine, the Milepost, and is a unique opportunity to uncover what life on the Outer Banks is all about.

The event kicks off with an opening reception on Friday, March 6, from 6 p.m. until 8 .p.m., where light hors d'oeuvres and libations will be served, and guests will have the opportunity to meet some of the artists who have contributed to Outer Banks Milepost over the years. (The reception is free and open to the public.) The exhibit will continue throughout the month of March at the centrally located Dare County Arts Council in downtown Manteo, and visitors are free to drop by and peruse the unique collection of photos, illustrations, and so much more.

Featuring original renditions of commissioned art-pieces, large-scale reproductions of memorable photographs, and unseen images from a host of complex — and occasionally hilarious — photoshoots, this exhibit presents a closer look at years of OBX living.
