Lighthouse Horse Rides in Buxton offers horseback riding experiences suitable for ages 8 and up, and Lighthouse Horse Rides works hard to accommodate family members with disabilities.
Monday/Wednesday mornings from 7am-10am, 30 minute pony cart rides (not on the beach) are available for children 5 and up. Two kids or one adult with a child can share the activity.
Monday/Wednesday evenings 5pm-8pm 1 hour cart rides are available for 1-4 people at a time.
Tuesday/Thursday rides can be scheduled from 7am-10am and last 1 hour. The horses are securely led at walking speed. Two full size horses are available at a time. Riders can have a maximum weight of 200 lbs.
Friday rides also happen from 7am-10am, but custom rides with up to 4 horses are available.
Saturday/Sunday 1 hour learning sessions are available from 7am-11am in Buxton, recommended for ages 3 and up.
