The Labor Day 5k/1 Mile launches from the Kill Devil Hills Town Hall in the heart of town, and this central location makes this event fairly easy to reach for visitors staying all across the OBX, from Currituck to Hatteras Island. The course veers through scenic side streets that are just a shell’s throw from the water, and the entry fee includes race refreshments, an event T-shirt, chip timing, and a souvenir bub. All finishers will receive a special and unique finisher medal for their efforts, and awards are given to the top three males and females in several categories.
