Take a break from the kitchen and let the kids put their culinary skills to work at this special event that’s designed for young chefs and their families. Held at one of the area’s popular Pizzerias, this special activity will be a great family-oriented event that vacationers of all ages will adore.
This special “Make your Own Pizza” is held every Tuesday in the summertime months at the Tomato Patch Pizzeria and Bar. Located in the heart of Corolla, visitors throughout the northern Outer Banks region will have an easy time reaching this central destination. While the kids get busy choosing their veggie, meat, and unique toppings for their ensuing pie, the adults can relax with $5 margarita specials as they take the day off from cooking and let the kids do all the work. The event starts at 11:00 a.m., although folks are welcome to linger to enjoy cold drinks and, of course, plenty of pies. The event is open to kids and adults of all ages, and will be a fun addition to any exploration of the local food scene. With lots of tempting combinations and creative ways to make a meal, this weekly pizza event is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
