Discover just how much fun the northernmost Outer Banks can be – both on and off the sand – with this weekly summertime event that kids of all ages will adore. The special weekly Kids Days occurs every Tuesday afternoon in the summer months at the Kitty Hawk Kites store in Corolla, and features a wealth of games, arts and crafts, and other unique adventures that showcase just how cool and engaging the OBX can be.

The weekly Kids Days are free to children of all ages, (and their family members), and each afternoon event features a wide array of ways to have fun. Kids can enjoy a wealth of adventures and activities, which includes face painting, quarterback touch down, bubble toys, beach games, Klutz Arts & Crafts Kits and even water tag on those hot summer days. Kids Day also features a beautiful setting in the heart of Corolla, and visitors can also check out the coinciding morning Kids Days in the neighboring town of Duck. With so much to see, do, and explore, Kids Days in Corolla is a great way for families to enjoy a little time off the sand, and to enjoy a fun afternoon that is designed with the Outer Banks’ youngest visitors in mind.

Scientists run these dolphin tours as part of their research on these beloved aquatic animals, so you know this will be an interesting trip. Passengers will be able to see how researchers with the Outer Banks Center for Dolphin Research, a nonprofit organization,  conduct their research and hear about some of the discoveries from more than a decade of studies and monitoring. Some of the hundreds of Atlantic bottlenose dolphins in the area show up so frequently they’ve even been given names, like “Rake,” “Scarlet,” and “Onion.”
