Young water lovers and nature fans will find ample opportunities to have fun in the sun at this summertime Jr. Aquatic Adventures Summer Camp. Hosted by the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island, this multi-day adventure features fishing, swimming, and ample explorations that highlight just how fun the great outdoors of the Outer Banks can be.

Kids ages 10-11 will enjoy plenty of adventures during this multi-day day camp, which includes ocean trips with plenty of splashing in the waves, marsh walks with crabbing, fishing at the Aquarium’s soundside pier, and even a snorkeling expedition for an underwater view. In addition, campers will enjoy a special tour of the aquarium to meet the local critters up close, and will wrap up the week with a light and friendly competition at the Jennette’s Pier. A bag lunch, closed toe shoes, sunscreen, and beach supplies are required, and kids can sign up for either of the two sessions online before the date of the camp begins. With lots of great activities that take place on or next to the water, this cool summer camp perfectly combines education, the local environment, and plenty of outdoor exercise to provide a wonderful perspective of the Outer Banks.
