Join in the fun of one of Manteo’s favorite fishing traditions with the annual Inshore Slam Fishing Tournament. Celebrating its 25th year in 2022, this family-friendly event is a great way to foster a love of fishing while enjoying one of the coolest small towns in the central Outer Banks.

The Inshore Slam Fishing Tournament is a charity tournament that raises money for deserving young people throughout Dare County, and which has raised nearly $300,000 to date. Everyone is welcome to register online for the tournament at http://rockfishrodeo.org/outer-banks-rockfish-rodeo-entry-form.html in order to compete for the largest fish in four distinct categories: stripers, flounder, puppy drum, and speckled trout. Prizes and trophies will be awarded in adult, women’s and youth divisions, and there’s also a single “Grand Slam” award for the fisherman who weighs in fish from at least three of the four categories. With great prizes and great comradery throughout, this tournament provides a perfect opportunity to discover how much fun fishing on the Outer Banks can be. Come out to support a deserving local cause, and enjoy fall fishing at its best at this fantastic fishing tournament that’s been going strong for more than two decades, and is sure to continue for decades to come.
