Indian Town Gallery is a Mecca for everything art. From having an artist-in-residence, local legend, Wayne Fulcher, to hosting art and craft shows and a gallery chock full of creations, the place always is astir.
Find a bevy of original art works, crafts and gifts including jewelry, painting, photography, pottery and other handcrafted items. The work is created mostly by local folk, who also may be present in the gallery teaching classes. Fulcher is a mainstay and creates marine-related paintings. The artist line-up is a who’s who on the Outer Banks and includes Linda Meyer Browning, E.M. Corsa and work by the late Ila Smith.
Their website lists classes, special events and sales, but because they are so, so busy, it is not always up to date. So make sure to call so you don’t miss out on any of their exciting offerings. Or better yet, visit in person for the real deal! The gallery is open year round. They are open seven days a week in season from Easter through Thanksgiving.
