Come enjoy the spirit of the Easter holiday on the Outer Banks while taking advantage of National Kite Month at this fun and family-friendly event that joyfully combines these two celebrations. The Flying Into Spring And Easter EGGstravaganza festival is a great way to take in the fresh spring air along the coastline, while participating in a myriad of games, displays, and a little kite action at one of the best spots on the East Coast for high flying.
The Flying Into Spring And Easter EGGstravaganza is held at Jockey’s Ridge State Park which is well known as one of the top destinations on the Eastern Seaboard for hang gliding, kites, and other aerial adventures, and which is located right across the street from the Kitty Hawk Kites flagship store – the host of the two-day festival. On Saturday kids can have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny and can have fun joining in the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Jockey’s Ridge. Head to the dunes Friday and Saturday to check out the giant 30-100 ft. kites that will be providing an impressive aerial show. With lots of ways to have a ball and enjoy the OBX’s stunning spring weather, the Flying Into Spring And Easter EGGstravaganza is an event that can’t be missed.
