Let your family’s youngest members have a blast learning all about the diverse wildlife that calls the Outer Banks home at this fun session that’s designed for visitors ages 2-7. Combining a world of stories, crafts, and even area explorations, “Fish Scales & Crabby Tales” is a great introduction to the local environment that will foster a lifelong love of the unique ecosystems of the Outer Banks.

The event takes place at the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education, which is a popular spot for discovering the wild OBX landscapes, and which hosts a wide array of programs for visitors of all ages. Located on the edge of the Currituck Sound, the center is an ideal place to go exploring and to uncover all the unique species that call this area home. During this activity, kids will hear seaside stories with a wild twist and will watch characters come to life on the big screen, before enjoying a hands-on activity that can include creating a take-home creature, or embarking on a hike to see some of the real-life heroes off the screen. The event is free for kids and their parents, although reservations must be made in advance either online, or by calling 252.453.0221 ex. 1.
