As the summer winds down and the temperatures start to cool, it’s an ideal time to get out to the garden and to start planning your fall landscapes. During this special workshop that’s held at the Elizabethan Gardens, visitors will learn all about how to make the most out of the shoulder season weather, and to start planning a beautiful backyard, front porch, or other area that will stay pretty throughout the season.
This two-hour workshop is held in the heart of Manteo on the grounds of the Elizabethan Gardens, and is open to members and non-members alike. (The cost to attend is $15 for non-members, and the session is free for members of the Elizabethan Gardens.) During the Saturday morning class, folks will learn how to phase out the summer annuals, change the soil for a new crop of blooms, and how to plan fall color schemes that will last in the Outer Banks climate for weeks and even months to come. With lots of active discussion and plenty of tips that can be easily applied at home, this workshop is a great event for gardening lovers everywhere who want to make the most out of their Outer Banks landscape.
