This popular Thanksgiving Day tradition brings together runners, walkers, families, and visitors for a festive 3.1-mile race through the charming town of Duck on the Outer Banks. The scenic course begins and ends near Scarborough Faire Shopping Village in downtown Duck, winding through residential neighborhoods and along portions of N.C. Highway 12. Participants can enjoy the beautiful coastal surroundings while sharing the experience with friends and family. Thanksgiving-themed costumes are encouraged, with a costume contest featuring categories such as Best Thanksgiving, Most Ducky, and Best Group Costume. The festivities continue after the race with a celebration at Tree House Cafe & Coffee, featuring refreshments, food, and opportunities to socialize with fellow participants.
