Dimensions’ owner Heather Clark has a passion for making people feel good about themselves, and she has a lot of experience behind what she does - over 20 years.
After completing cosmetology school and an apprenticeship, then opening Dimensions in 1997, Heather continued her training for two more years, working to become a Redken educator. She says she loves working with “all aspects of color.”
Her associate, Ashley Dashiell, got her training at the Paul Mitchell School in Orlando. Her specialty at the salon is trending cuts with complementing color.
In addition to serving regular clients, Dimensions' goal is to create “personal, yet timeless” styles for wedding parties, making sure they have a “relaxing, worry-free experience.” Attesting to its success, Dimensions has won honors for its work with brides, garnering the 2012 “The Best Wedding” award from The Knot.
The staff will also accommodate bridal parties by meeting them at any location from Corova to Hatteras. Services include hair and makeup for brides, mothers, bride’s maids and flower girls, and added consultation for brides.
One internet commentator sums up Dimensions’ dedication to customer service, noting that the salon always makes her “feel respected and attended to,” and the staff really listens to her questions and concerns.
Dimensions Salon is located on the corner of the Bypass (Highway 158) and St. Clair near the Kill Devil Hills post office and library. Normal salon hours run Monday through Friday, but are based on appointments and can vary. Walk-ins are accepted if stylists are available.
