Oyster season heats up in the fall and early winter, and visitors can toast this delicious time of year at the Big Curri-Shuck at Sanctuary Vineyards. Ideal for hungry visitors, this festival combines a wealth of local seafood and regional fare to tempt visitors of all tastes, as well as plenty of activities to ensure that everyone in the family has a bushel of fun.
The event takes place in the town of Jarvisburg, which is just barely off the Outer Banks barrier island shorelines in the mainland region of Currituck County. During the afternoon event, visitors will be treated to a star attraction of all you can eat oysters, as well as plenty of steamed crabs and BBQ. There will also be lots of local beer and wine samplings available, and all ticket holders will also receive a signature wineglass. With live music throughout the afternoon, and a pretty setting in the heart of the Inner Banks, this event is a great way to combine food, friends, and fun in a relaxed location.
