Visitors and locals who have always wanted to learn a new sport and a new skill will enjoy this class which shines a spotlight on the fundamentals of archery. Open for kids ages 8-13, this short but thorough session on archery will teach all the basics of this healthy and fun exercise, and is sure to be a highlight of any vacation for young explorers who adore a little adventure.

The event is held at the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education, which has a central locale in the heart of Corolla in the Northern Outer Banks. Bordering both the Currituck Sound and the Currituck Heritage Park, the venue is an ideal spot to get outside and explore all the unique exercises and sports that the OBX has to offer. During this class, students will learn all about the history, safety, equipment, and techniques of archery, before practicing basic tournament-style archery skills in a safe and fun environment. Promoting mental concentration and self-discipline in students, archery is a great exercise that can be enjoyed both in this unique Outer Banks environment, and at home.
