Black Drum, Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Redfish, and more could be biting, depending on the season. During the trip you might be spinning, popping, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Fish Tank Charters OBX welcomes kids aboard, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!

Your boat for the day is a 22’ Beaver Skiff with room for 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Joseph will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures.  I can meet at any public boat ramp from Rose Bay to Manteo, to accommodate your fishing needs and the current weather.

There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more. It’s always wise to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
