In Debt Charters is here to show you the stunning waters of Wanchese. With Captain Christopher at the helm, you’ll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide. You’ll find yourself aboard a 29’ Convertible with space for 5 passengers. It comes with outriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, along with lures.
Local species include Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Redfish, Gray Triggerfish, Bluefish, Atlantic Mackerel, Sheepshead, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Black Seabass, and more if conditions allow. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Capt. Christopher welcomes children aboard, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip. There’s no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It’s recommended to bring sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
