Outer Banks Halloween Parade of Costumes

The 10th Annual Outer Banks Halloween Parade of Costumes returned to Aviation Park in Kill Devil Hills on Sunday, October 29, 2023.

Founded in 2014, the Outer Banks Halloween Parade of Costumes celebrated its 10^th anniversary this year, drawing hundreds of participants and onlookers, including registered entries from multiple states and the first ever international participants, who traveled all the way from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, as well as the youngest ever entry with five-month-old Ezekiel Logan, dressed in a Superman costume

The 2023 Costume Contest winners include 13-year-old Rhiannon Jones, who traveled eight hours from Chuckey, Tennessee and won Best In Show in the Age 13 and Over category for her fortune teller machine costume; Keegan O’Reilly of Kill Devil Hills, who won Best In Show in the Age 12 and Under category for her Viking warrior costume; and Autumn Price and Adam Foss of Manteo, who won Best In Show in the Group category for their (coincidentally) Viking-inspired costumes.

Halloween Daily News once again documented the entire event, with exclusive Parade highlights featured on the HDN YouTube channel and watched by over 79,000 subscribers around the world. The three Best In Show winners were also each interviewed and photographed by Halloween Daily News for a special feature on the channel, all of which you can watch below.

The free, family friendly event also showcased many of the area’s nonprofit organizations, who hosted the trick or treat stations during the preparty.
