About this Property

Welcome to Yes Dear by KEES Vacations

Located in the northernmost part of the Outer Banks, the town of Corolla has a little something for everyone. Whether your group is interested in outdoor activities such as kayaking or golfing, a multitude of oceanside and gourmet dining opportunities, or scenic attractions like the wild banker horses which roam the wide beaches of Corolla, this spot is absolutely filled with vacation potential. Not only that, but, as Yes Dear is located in Monteray Shores, your group will enjoy the well-kept surroundings of the community as well as the nearby Currituck Sound. The grounds are stunning, and the private pool is the perfect spot for group bonding and a bit of relaxation after a long day of adventure!

The interior of this property is just as breathtaking as the exterior. Stepping inside from the pool, perhaps after using the outdoor shower, a queen bedroom is available on the groundfloor. This bedroom sports a flatscreen television, which nearly all of the bedrooms also possess!

The second level of Yes Dear will be where the majority of the group will be catching some sleep. This floor features a king bedroom as well as a bedroom with two twin beds, all of which also contain a flatscreen television. In addition, this level also possesses another bedroom with double bunk beds. Finally, this floor has access to a deck which looks out over the pool area and surrounding flora.

The final level is where most of the memories will be made. Containing a substantial living area, as well as a dining area and kitchen (fully stocked with cooking supplies) with so many windows you will think that you are suspended in the air as you relax on the comfy furniture or dine on your OBX cuisine. This level also contains a deck, the access for which is located right next to the dining area, allowing anyone in your group to take in the local scenery after their meal. In addition, there is another king bedroom which features a flat screen television.

Whether you are staying in or going out to explore, there will never be a dearth of memories to be had at Yes Dear. We know you will love it just as much as we do, and we are looking forward to hosting your Outer Banks vacation!

Stop by soon and don’t forget to try our estate grown wines in our stores or visit our vineyard and winery, Sanctuary Vineyards, located adjacent to the original Cotton Gin in Jarvisburg.

Most know The Cotton Gin as a must-stop shop for fine gifts, beachwear, souvenirs and so much more, but this retailer has a long-standing history within the Outer Banks. A local landmark that holds almost a century of memories, The Cotton Gin started from humble beginnings and continues to adapt to the times and tourists. Tommy Wright’s family has been in the Outer Banks for nearly 200 years. His great-great grandfather, Jacob Francis Wright, shipwrecked in Duck back in the early 1800s. Calling these barrier islands his new home, Wright and his family acclimated to their new environment.

Adaptation is a common theme for the Wright family. Tommy and his wife Candace, who continue to steer The Cotton Gin, have seen not only their business change with the times, but the Outer Banks as a vacation destination as well. A farm market in Jarvisburg eventually transformed and flourished into several retail locations dotting the Outer Banks.

“As the area changed and tourism took off in the 1960s, the family saw people coming for vacations, so they began to grow vegetables and things developed from there,” says Tommy Wright. The Wright family expanded upon the farm market and began to remodel a working cotton gin, later transforming the gin into The Cotton Gin general store in the late 1960s. While the additions to the farm store drew visitors, it was their encounters with the Wright family that kept people coming back year after year, which is something that remains true today.
