There is no better place for family and friends to Come Together than at the beach. This elegant four bedroom, five and a half bath cottage is just a short walk to the beach and is packed full of amenities to make your vacation as cool as the ocean breeze. 

Come Together features two large wrap-around sun decks, a crow's nest for unparalleled views, a private pool and hot tub, and three master bedrooms. A fun recreation room awaits on the first floor with a large flat screen TV, reclining movie chairs, a foosball table, and access to the pool area, plus a mini fridge, wet bar with icemaker, and a full bathroom. A bonus room is on this level with two pyramid beds, a TV, and DVD player.

Moving up, level two features three bedrooms. The first has a king sized bed and flat screen TV. The second is a king master with a full bathroom and flat screen TV. The third room on this floor is a king master as well with a full bath, TV, and access to the deck through sliding glass doors. There is also another full bathroom in the hall.

As you make your way to the top level you'll find the fourth bedroom with a king sized bed and a flat screen TV. In the living area, a large sectional couch and comfy chairs are situated around the TV. The kitchen is full of stainless steel appliances and all the necessities to cook for your whole group. There is a breakfast bar that seats four, and the dining room table has seating for ten. Sliding glass doors provide access to the top level sundeck and crow's nest where you can catch magnificent ocean views.

Most know The Cotton Gin as a must-stop shop for fine gifts, beachwear, souvenirs and so much more, but this retailer has a long-standing history within the Outer Banks. A local landmark that holds almost a century of memories, The Cotton Gin started from humble beginnings and continues to adapt to the times and tourists. Tommy Wright’s family has been in the Outer Banks for nearly 200 years. His great-great grandfather, Jacob Francis Wright, shipwrecked in Duck back in the early 1800s. Calling these barrier islands his new home, Wright and his family acclimated to their new environment.

 

Adaptation is a common theme for the Wright family. Tommy and his wife Candace, who continue to steer The Cotton Gin, have seen not only their business change with the times, but the Outer Banks as a vacation destination as well. A farm market in Jarvisburg eventually transformed and flourished into several retail locations dotting the Outer Banks.

 

“As the area changed and tourism took off in the 1960s, the family saw people coming for vacations, so they began to grow vegetables and things developed from there,” says Tommy Wright. The Wright family expanded upon the farm market and began to remodel a working cotton gin, later transforming the gin into The Cotton Gin general store in the late 1960s. While the additions to the farm store drew visitors, it was their encounters with the Wright family that kept people coming back year after year, which is something that remains true today.
