Enjoy a day on the sound catching all the most popular inshore species with Uptick Charters II! Let Capt. Chris take you out for several hours and show you to some of the most productive honey holes. Clamming, dolphin watching, and even crabbing are all options as well, you just have to take your pick.
Your captain has fished the sound his whole life, so he knows exactly where to go to put you on a great catch. The most abundant fish you’ll find both in the Oregon Inlet and the sound are Black Drum, Sheepshead, Cobia, Spotted Seatrout, as well Flounder if you’re going bottom fishing.
Whichever excursion you choose, you’re welcome to bring your kids – Capt. Chris is a teacher and he enjoys showing the little ones how to hook their first fish. Clamming and dolphin watching are more relaxed, so there’s time to get your limit of clams for dinner and then admire dolphins’ dances.
To start your trip, you’ll come aboard a 21’ Kencraft with a 150 HP Yamaha engine, fully equipped and ready to take you out. There’s room on board for up to 4 people to fish and enjoy the ride. You don’t have to worry about the gear, Capt. Chris will provide quality rods, reels, and tackle for you to use.
Release the catch or keep it to fill your cooler – it’s your choice. Your guide will bag your catch so that you can neatly bring it home, and then you just have to clean and cook it using your favorite recipe.
If you’re coming with your kids, it’s recommended that they’re 5 and older, there will be live jackets for them on the boat. Pack some food and drinks and you’re ready to go.
Go fishing with Uptick Charters II and make the most out of your fishing adventure on the prolific local waters!
