Enjoy a spooky but magical evening under the sea with this annual Halloween celebration that has become one of the favorite fall events in the central Outer Banks. Trick or Treat Under the Sea is a special opportunity to visit the North Carolina Aquarium after hours, and to explore the array of marine life that calls coastal North Carolina home. With lots of candy, fun costumes, and special events designed for kids, this evening celebration is a Halloween themed party that locals and visitors won’t want to miss.

The fun takes place at the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island, and kids and adults are encouraged to don their best costumes to explore the myriad of exhibits from a unique and after-hours perspective. There will be lots of candy giveaways for kids who want to go trick or treating, as well as a wealth of educational information on the spooky critters that call the aquarium home – like the giant sharks, slinky rays, and intimidating alligators. No reservations are required to drop by and join in the fun, and the combination of candy, Halloween thrills, and the amazing aquarium makes this fall event a definite crowd pleaser for visitors of all ages.
