Take a break from the bustling beach, and take advantage of an opportunity to hear a group of acclaimed musicians who will perform a series of famed classical music selections at this special concert that will thrill music lovers everywhere.
The Surf and Sounds Chamber Music Series takes place throughout the Outer Banks in late August, and features a selection of professional musicians from all across the country who will perform traditional chamber music to the delight of classical music aficionados and anyone who likes to relax with stunning melodies. During this event, the musicians will head to the heart of Southern Shores to perform at the intimate upstairs gallery of the All Saints Episcopal Church along picturesque Pintail trail. The event will include chamber music performed by a flute quartet, a piano quintet, or a string quartet depending on the venue and program, and visitors will be treated to familiar classical tunes that will delight music lovers of all interests and ages. Hosted by the Dare County Art’s Council, this event serves as a fine opportunity for visitors and locals alike to discover a world of beautiful music without ever leaving the heart of the Outer Banks. The event is free and open to the public.
