This well-appointed 5-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom sound-side home is a crowd-pleaser full of amenities. Enjoy uninterrupted sunset views from the enticing back decks, a private pool, an 8-person hot tub, and a game room. Don’t let the sound side location fool you—Beach Break is only 4 lots back from the ocean—approximately 400 yards from the community beach access.

Ground Level: Ground Level Amenities include a private pool, covered deck, outdoor shower, fish cleaning table, charcoal grill, and a carport and driveway that accommodates up to 6 vehicles. As you enter the home, you will find a large game room with a 7-foot pool table, stereo system, large TV, DVD player, kitchenette, and access to the covered pool-facing deck. The kitchenette is equipped with a microwave and full-sized refrigerator so you’ll never have to wander far from the fun to enjoy your favorite snacks and drinks. Directly off the game room is Bedroom #1 furnished with 2 Twin beds, a Smart TV, and access to the covered deck. A sizeable full bathroom and laundry room are also located on this level.

Mid Level: As you make your way to the middle level, you will find 3 spacious bedrooms all with Smart TVs/DVD players and attached private bathrooms. Bedrooms #2 and #3 are furnished with a King bed and have access to the covered hot tub deck. Bedroom #4 is furnished with a pyramid bunk (Twin over Full) and has a private deck on the front of the home. There is an additional seating area on this level with a flat-screen TV and DVD player and additional direct access to the covered hot tub deck.

Top Level: The top floor features a well-appointed kitchen, main living area, covered deck, and sound-facing sun deck. The living area includes a full entertainment center with a 42-inch flat screen TV, stereo system, DVD player, and an inviting dining area that seats 8. The kitchen is equipped with all you will need to prepare your favorite meal with plenty of cookware and a breakfast bar that seats 4. The top floor finishes with Bedroom # 5, an impressive King bedroom with an ensuite full bathroom, and access to the top-level deck. A half bathroom is also located halfway up the staircase from the mid to top level.

Extras: Private pool, hot tub, 8 flat screen Smart TVs, DVD players, WiFi, pool table, traditional coffee maker, charcoal grill, covered decks, sun decks, outdoor shower, deck furniture, and a fish cleaning table. No Smoking/Vaping. No Pets. Distance to beach access: 1200 feet. Beds: 3 King,1 Bunk Bed (Twin over Full), 2 Twins. Key Type: Keyless Entry. Check-in Location: At the Property.

Linens and towels are provided all year. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made except for sleep sofas, top bunks, and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom, and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

Booking: During the booking process you will be asked to enter a credit card number, nothing will be charged to this card. You will receive an email 24 hours after booking with instructions to log on to the guest web to electronically sign your lease agreement and make your advance payment. You will have 10 days to sign your lease agreement and pay your advance payment to avoid cancellation. We offer optional travel insurance that you can opt in or out of on your lease agreement. Your final payment will be due 30 days prior to arrival. Reservations booked within 45 days of arrival will have 72 hours to sign the lease agreement and submit payment in full.

A Beautiful, Spacious Home with a View!

Thank you, thank you! This gorgeous house was just what we needed after being stuck at home for over a year due to the pandemic. The house was absolutely perfect! Spacious, clean, bright and on a quiet, dead-end street with a boardwalk leading right to the beach (a mere 3 minute walk!). The home was conveniently located close to the grocery store and to restaurants and shops. The pool was a little slice of paradise (it was worth every penny to pay for the pool heat) as was the hot tub. We also loved the pool table! The beds were comfortable and there was great water pressure in the showers. The best part...the view of the sunset over the sound...words cannot even begin to describe it! Also, everything felt very clean and safe from a COVID standpoint. We loved all of the decks and porches! We will absolutely be back and would recommend this place in a heartbeat!

We had some difficulty actually getting into the property when we first arrived, but when that was resolved, all else was just about perfect. 'Beach Break' had plenty of room for all of us (2 teens, an 8 year old, their parents, and us - the grandparents). I was glad to have read in another review about the shortcut to the beach—the boardwalk made it easy to wheel our cart of beach equipment (chairs, tent, toys, etc.), with only a short span where we needed to carry everything up and over the dunes via a stairway. The beach itself is stunning and sparsely populated. The house contained everything we needed and more. We like to cook, and found all the equipment we needed (except for a pie pan, which I had brought along just in case). Beds were very comfortable—something we’ve found not to be the case in some other vacation rentals. The children couldn’t get enough of the pool, and their hours there gave the adults a great vantage point from which to relax on one of the decks. One improvement to suggest, though—the outdoor charcoal grill is small, and not well-suited to preparing meals for more than a few people at a time. Since most of the meals we’d planned on involved grilling, dinner prep took a considerable time (not fun cooking chicken, fish, or steak in batches and keeping food warm while successive batches were on the grill). A larger charcoal grill or gas grill would be a great addition. We’d never before stayed in Avon, and welcomed the proximity of a large grocery, a pharmacy, and—best of all from the children’s’ perspective—a branch of Duck Donuts. The overall feel of the area is peaceful and remote. Within minutes, we could be at the Hatteras lighthouse or mini-golf in nearby Frisco. Overall, hard to imagine a better rental property for a terrific “beach break.”

Our week in the Outer Banks was perfect! This house was exactly what we needed for our family vacation, with enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone to have their own space. I'm thankful that we read about the boardwalk and knew that the walk to the beach was easy and short. The kitchen in the house had everything we needed, the pool was awesome, all of the electronics worked and were easy to use. I wish we had cushions for the wooden chairs at the pool - but it wasn't a deal breaker! Overall, it was the best vacation and a great value!

We had a great time at Beach Break! The house was clean and had everything we needed. I would recommend bringing your own soap and shampoo but we had everything else we needed for toiletries and for cooking. The pool was such a bonus. We didn’t pay to have it heated and it was totally fine. We had a wonderful stay!

Perfect home for a three-generation family vacation. Very well maintained property with gorgeous views of the sound and a very easy walk to the beach. Plenty of room for 10 people without feeling overcrowded. The management company was very responsive when we called them. Everyone had a great time!

We had plenty of room at this property. Location was great, we were close to the grocery store and it was only a short walk to the beach. The pool was very nice. There were 2 outside showers to rinse off as well. We had a great time here.

Exactly What Our Family Needed!

The layout of this property was exactly what our family needed. It was close to everything including the beach, the sound side and the grocery store. The whole family agreed that this vacation was going to be a relaxing one, and this house and location truly allowed for that. The house was also nicely cleaned compared to other homes we have rented before. The only issue we had was the upstairs air conditioner was not working properly. However we contacted property management and they worked with the owners. By the next day, a new air conditioner had been installed and was working great. Before the new air conditioner was installed, the property management company even brought window air conditioners over to help in the meantime. We had no other issues for the rest of the week and really appreciated the prompt response to the air-conditioning issue. We look forward to booking another family vacation at this property again soon!
