This well-appointed home located in Avon Village boasts 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, panoramic ocean views from the expansive ocean-facing deck, and direct access to the beach over the wooden walkway for a day of sun-soaked fun! The fun does not stop after a day at the beach… enjoy the hot tub, and the spacious seating areas inside, or unwind on the sundeck to watch the ocean waves. Don’t forget your 4-legged family member… Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves is dog friendly! 

Ground Level: Ground-level amenities include private beach access over a wooden walkway, a fish cleaning table, a charcoal grill, an outside shower, and a driveway that accommodates up to 4 vehicles.

Mid Level: Entering the home, from the mid-level covered deck, you will find Bedroom #1, furnished with a Queen bed, a Twin bed, and an attached private full bathroom. The detached primary suite is perfect if you are traveling with a multigenerational family and provides an extra area for quiet time. 

Top Level: The upper level boasts an expansive open living area with beautiful ocean views. The living area includes a full entertainment center with a TV and DVD player, and plenty of seating. From the living area is access to the spacious deck with plenty of seating for everyone, access to the beach, and a 6-person hot tub.  The kitchen is equipped with all you need to prepare your favorite meal and a dining table that seats 8. Off the kitchen is a half bathroom and a laundry area. On this level, you will also find 4 spacious bedrooms each equipped with a TV. Bedroom # 2 is furnished with a King bed. Bedroom # 3 is furnished with a Queen bed. Bedrooms #2 and #3 are connected by a jack-and-jill full bathroom. Bedroom #4 is furnished with a Queen bed and a Twin Bed. Bedroom #5 is furnished with a King bed and an ensuite full bathroom. 

Extras: Private beach access, hot tub, charcoal grill, laundry, outside shower, 5 TVs, DVD, WiFi, laundry closet, covered decks, sun decks, deck furniture, and parking for 4 vehicles. Fireplace is not for guest use

Linens and towels are provided all year. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made except for sleep sofas, top bunks, and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom, and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

Booking: During the booking process you will be asked to enter a credit card number, nothing will be charged to this card. You will receive an email 24 hours after booking with instructions to log on to the guest web to electronically sign your lease agreement and make your advance payment. You will have 10 days to sign your lease agreement and pay your advance payment to avoid cancellation. We offer optional travel insurance that you can opt in or out of on your lease agreement. Your final payment will be due 30 days prior to arrival. Reservations booked within 45 days of arrival will have 72 hours to sign the lease agreement and submit payment in full.

We stayed at Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves for two weeks. OBX has been our family vacation destination for decades and we all travel far to get here for the family reunion. This house was exactly what we needed with the direct beach access and allowing pets. This is the first time we ventured to the Avon area, and enjoyed walking distance to the local stores, restaurants, bike rental, gym and the beach club where we attended a rock concert of a Raleigh based band. We also enjoyed the proximity of the bay. The house was clean, well equipped and we did not have any technical issues. Overall we are happy with this rental and will be coming back next year.

Staying in Avon means you can trade out the car for bike rides or golf cart cruising. Centrally located on Hatteras Island Avon has a neighborhood feel with a beach vibe. Great food, local music in the evening, plenty of shopping, and beach bonfires will make Avon your go to vacation place year after year! North or south you're never far from island adventures when you stay in this place historically known as "Kinnakeet"!

Shop at one of the many gift shops, take a walk on the famous Avon Fishing Pier, rent bicycles and explore the village, or rent a Jeep and ride out on the beach and hunt for seashells. With lots of popular attractions, you're sure to remain entertained throughout your stay.
