The local kayaking is about as good as it gets in the marsh creeks surrounding the Slash, and fishing and crabbing are perfect activities for the kids. The Creek also has a large, private pool, open Memorial Day through Labor Day, for owners and guests. There are plenty of park grills around the boardwalks for heating up today's fresh catch. Directly behind is a bit more seating with views out the slider doors to the covered porch. The porch with deck furniture offers an expansive view of the salt marsh, Pamlico Sound, and beyond. The second bedroom has a king-size bed, an LCD TV, and a built-in seating area. The full bath has twin sinks and a whirlpool tub/shower. Sandy Cheeks is a short drive to swimming and 4wd access.
